Your Cisco certification journey begins here

Achieving Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) certification validates your ability to install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including enabling basic network security.

Preparing for CCENT certification, you will learn about networking fundamentals, WAN technologies, basic security and wireless concepts, routing and switching fundamentals, and configuring simple networks. Becoming a CCENT confirms that you have the knowledge and skills required for entry-level network support positions and that you are well positioned for a successful career in networking.

CCENT is the first step toward achieving CCNA certifications in routing and switching, network design, network security and wireless networking, enabling you to work with medium-size enterprise branch networks with more complex connections.

There are no formal prerequisites for this certification, but a solid understanding of networking protocols is beneficial.
