Use the Army Credentialing Assistance Program via ArmyIgnitED to Enroll for Global Knowledge Training

Army Soldiers (Active Duty, ARNG, USAR) of all ranks (Enlisted, NCO, Officer, Warrant Officer) can purchase Global Knowledge training and exams using Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) benefits via ArmyIgnitED.

Request Credentialing Assistance

Step 1: For users who have never applied for CA Funding 

• Watch the CA 101 Video 

• Complete the MilGears Plan and upload to ArmyIgnitED 

• Contact a CA Counselor to notify them you’ve completed both steps 

Step 2: Find and Select a Credential and Select Global Knowledge as your Vendor 

• Soldiers may pursue any credential listed in Army Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (Army COOL). Credentials do not need to align with the Soldier’s MOS, AOC, or ASI. 

• Search all available credentials on Army COOL using the Full Credential Search. 

Step 3: Apply for Funding 

• Login to ArmyIgnited to submit your CA Request

• These guides provide step-by-step instructions on the process and rules

Step 4: Compete your Credential 

• Once you have received notification via ArmyIgnitED that your CA Request has been approved and paid, you may contact Global Knowledge for the approved course or exam, and you will receive your course/exam materials. 

• Credentialing Assistance vendors must upload grades within 30 days of the end date. If the vendor does not receive the results of the course/exam, it is the Soldier's responsibility to send and upload the results to the Army CA Program Office (ACAPO) Virtual via ArmyIgnitED messaging using the “Credentialing Assistance (CA) Office” category. 

• If proof is not uploaded into your account, recoupment for CA costs requested on the CA request will be initiated with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).

Enroll an Individual

1. Request a quote for your desired credential course/exam from your Global Knowledge Army Representative listed below. 
2. Follow the steps listed above to submit your request and quote in ArmyIgnitED. 
   • Please note, it is recommended for Soldiers to submit their requests 45-90 days before their desired class date. 
3. Army Credentialing Assistance Program Office (ACAPO) will review and approve your request. 
4. Once approved, we will register you for the training/exam, and you will receive an email confirmation from Global Knowledge confirming your registration.     
   • Please note, some Global Knowledge courses may not be listed in the portal. To request that a course be added to the portal, please contact taylor.cato@skillsoft.com.
