Prerequisites
Candidates should have five years of experience working in the networking or security industries, one year working with virtualized and cloud environments, and the equivalent of 6–12 months of experience deploying and configuring Palo Alto Networks NGFWs.

- Ability to plan, deploy, configure, operate, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks product portfolio components within a virtual environment
- Product expertise, an understanding of the unique aspects of the Palo Alto Networks product portfolio, and ability to deploy a product appropriately
- Understanding of the networking and security policies used by PAN-OS software

Earning this certification demonstrates the certification holder has in-depth knowledge, skills, and abilities to deploy, integrate, and maintain Palo Alto Networks VM-Series, CN-Series, and Cloud Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs).

Palo Alto Networks certifications are valid for two years from the date you pass the exam. You must wait six months after becoming certified before taking another exam for the same certification. To keep your credential in active status, you must recertify by retaking the exam prior to your expiration date.
