Global Knowledge Sponsors Canada C3 Expedition - Support includes $50,000 in scholarships

Date:
May 30, 2017

Toronto, ONTARIO, May 30, 2017 — As part of its Canada C3 sponsorship, Global Knowledge, the worldwide leader in IT training and business skills, is proud to offer $50,000 in scholarships to support knowledge promotion and learning that are central to the 150-day sailing expedition that launches in Toronto June 1 as part of Canada's 150th Anniversary celebration. Global Knowledge is providing scholarships to be distributed by the Canada C3 Expedition along its journey. Just as learning will take place throughout the voyage digitally and in on-site classroom facilities, Global Knowledge’s scholarships may be used for learning in the multiple modalities the company offers: On-Demand learning, live-streamed virtual classrooms and traditional classroom instruction. Complete details on Global Knowledge’s scholarship program can be found at www.globalknowledge.com/150scholarship.

“Learning and development are at the core of the Global Knowledge mission, and a major aspect of the C3 journey is the promotion of knowledge and understanding among all regions of Canada, including those that are remote and often inaccessible. Thus our partnership with Canada C3 is a wonderful opportunity for us to support Canadians in their skill-building wherever they happen to be,” said Lawrence Franco, president, Global Knowledge Canada. “In addition as a leader in digital learning, we are thrilled to support the Canada C3 Digital Classroom as we appreciate its importance in allowing everyone, regardless of geography, to share in the learning that will come out of Canada C3.”

The Canada C3 sailing expedition is designed around the four central themes of Diversity and Inclusion, Reconciliation, Youth Engagement and the Environment. The Canada C3 classroom learning targets students from kindergarten to grade 12 and will be offered through the different legs of the journey, while the Canada C3 Digital Classroom allows students, teachers and families to virtually experience and learn from the tri-coastal journey.
