Full Release

Research Triangle, N.C. – Cybersecurity expert Dave Buster of Global Knowledge, the worldwide leader in IT training and learning services, will speak at the Tax Commissioners' Technology Development Council of Georgia (TCTECH) Annual Conference on June 27 in St. Simons Island, GA. He will focus on human errors that leave IT systems vulnerable to attacks and how to prevent these errors, and highlight

  • hacker types and their goals
  • lessons learned from cybersecurity attacks

“Because cybersecurity attacks are people targeting people and not machines going after machines, skill building is critical to maintaining IT systems’ integrity. To plan for and head off increasingly complex and sophisticated attacks, ongoing IT training is an imperative,” said Dave Buster, Global Knowledge’s Global Senior Portfolio Director for Cybersecurity.

The recently published 10th annual Global Knowledge IT Skills & Salary Report confirms that while there is a tremendous and growing need for security professionals, IT decision-makers are struggling to find qualified cybersecurity talent. The shortage of trained professionals is exacerbated by an increase in the number of breaches and attacks worldwide.
