A flexible recertification program for current CCIE and CCDE certified individuals

The Cisco Continuing Education Program is a new flexible recertification program specifically designed for current Cisco CCIE or CCDE certified individuals. The program is intended to encourage candidates to diversify and expand their skill sets by training on other Cisco technologies, making them more valuable to their organization and the industry as a whole while maintaining the integrity of the Cisco brand.

This change to CCIE and CCDE recertification reflects the diversification required by today’s CCIE and CCDE’s and rewards them for their continued investment in knowledge and skills acquisition.

The new program is based on three principles - flexibility, diversity and integrity.

  • Flexibility – The program provides existing Cisco CCIE’s and CCDE’s with an alternative option for recertifying their CCIE or CCDE Certification, retaking the written exam will no longer be the only option.
  • Diversity – Recertification can be achieved through attending a variety of certification and product courses as well as content authoring, attendance of Cisco Live offerings and completion of online courses.
  • Integrity - All claims of courses attendance will be verified by the delivering Cisco Authorized Learning Partner.
