It is intended to provide candidates with best practice guidance on how to plan and manage the full lifecycle of all IT assets, to help the organization maximize value, control costs, manage risks, support decision-making about the purchase, re-use, retirement, and disposal of IT assets, meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
The ITIL 4 IT Asset Management Practice module is structured and aligned around the ITIL framework. The examination is intended to assess whether the candidate can demonstrate sufficient understanding and application of the concepts covered in the ITIL 4 IT Asset Management Practice publication.
