This blended training solution provides network administrators with the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot a small enterprise network. 

Blended learning:

The Global Knowledge blended learning program provides access to the official learning material of Cisco. If you decide to attend a training in Global Knowledge blended learning format, you will start your training with a classroom training part, including an official certified Cisco instructor. At the end of this day you will receive homework. It will take approximately two days of self-study to finalize this homework. When you have finished the self-study part return to the classroom for two more days of Instructor Led Training. This also will give you the opportunity to discuss any answers or issues you have encountered, together with the instructor and your fellow students.   

Key additions to this latest revision include: Understanding Quality of Service (QoS) elements and their applicability, how virtualized and cloud services will interact and impact enterprise networks, an overview of network programmability, related controller types and tools that are available to support software-defined network architectures.

Course content is presented in easily-consumable segments via both Instructor Video and text. Interactivity is enabled through Discovery labs, content review questions, and graded Challenge labs and tests. This makes the learning experience hands-on, increasing course effectiveness, and provides students direct feedback on how well they have mastered the material. Gamification features are built in, including earning badges and a leaderboard, to encourage better performance.

Recertification:

CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the recertification date:

  • Pass any current Associate-level exam except for ICND1 exam, or
  • Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam, or
  • Pass any current 642-XXX Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams or MeetingPlace Specialist exams, Implementing Cisco TelePresence Installations (ITI) exams, Cisco Leading Virtual Classroom Instruction exams, or any 650 online exams), or
  • Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
  • Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
  • Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications

When using a higher level of certification to extend other certifications, the expiration date of other certifications will extend to the expiration date of the higher certification (i.e.: If you have one year left on your CCNA Routing and Switching certification and you earn a CCIE certification (which has a two-year certification life) then both your CCIE certification and your CCNA Routing and Switching certification will expire two years from the date you achieved the CCIE certification).
