CARY, N.C. - Global Knowledge, recently designated Top Quality Cisco Learning Partner in the Americas, today announced the availability of three updated courses to support the new Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) certification recently announced by Cisco.

To reflect current job roles, CCNA certification has evolved from a foundation certification to a concentration certification and renamed CCNA Routing and Switching certification. The new routing and switching concentration certification validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot small, medium, and enterprise networks. It designates that a networking professional has the knowledge and skills to configure, manage, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless connections.

"Refining the cornerstone CCNA certification to create CCNA Routing and Switching is the ideal response to help networking professionals gain the practical, job-specific skills and expertise required to implement and manage today's increasingly complex networks," said Eric Strause, Cisco worldwide product director at Global Knowledge.

Students may achieve CCNA Routing and Switching certification by passing both Exam 100-101 ICND1 and Exam 200-201 INCD2, or they may opt for the composite Exam 200-120 CCNA.
