Skillsoft Global Knowledge partners with Amazon, ZPP to provide skills for the Valencian community

ITSkills4U was launched in October of 2022 to provide free training and support to Ukrainians all over the world interested in expanding their career opportunities either by pivoting from non-IT roles toward a future in tech or by advancing their IT career through further certification. The pilot in Spain will mirror the ideals and practices launched in phase 1 and will now target new demographics, non-Ukrainian refugees, asylum seekers, forcibly displaced communities and Spanish citizens from vulnerable populations.
Participants will be placed in the course that suits their level of IT knowledge and educational goals. Course offerings will be imparted in virtual classrooms by Skillsoft Global Knowledge’s certified instructors, combined with the digital "on-demand" training of AWS’s Skillbuilder that can be accessed anywhere, anytime. Free AWS Certification exam vouchers will be provided upon successful completion of the program to help participants earn industry-recognized certifications. AWS Certifications are recognized as Best-in-Class and hold a high level of prestige in the IT environment, contributing significantly to our learners’ successful entry into the IT labor market.
In addition to free training and certifications, participants will be invited to enroll in cloud-related webinars, as well as sessions and training run by top Cloud professionals. They will also have access to job fairs and openings for positions in the program’s 40+ partner database and many other organizations. A community centered around the Telegram channel created exclusively for this program will host all the latest updates about events and activities.
The program will kick off with an in-person event at the end of October 2023 for participants, and the initial course will start in November. Classes will be held online in an afternoon schedule compatible with learners’ availability and at a pace they can manage. The program has been designed to run in a few short weeks with learners receiving dedicated attention to speed up their professional trajectories. Courses will be delivered in Spanish although those who need help with the language requirement are still encouraged to apply.
