Microsoft's SATV program is ending: what does that mean for you?
- Date: 14 April, 2021
Microsoft is in the last phase of the retirement of their Software Assurance Training Vouchers (SATV) programme and 30 June 2021 is the last day to create or assign new vouchers. What does this mean in practice?
The last day to create and assign your vouchers is 30 June 2021, which means by this date, your vouchers must be redeemed against courses and be assigned to someone.
Any vouchers not assigned by 1 July 2021 will be lost.
Vouchers are valid for 180 days, so employees can still use them to attend training courses until 31 December 2021. The system that processes SATVs will be shut down on 1 January 2022 and any unused voucher will be lost.
What can you purchase with your SATVs?
Your SATVs can be used to purchase Microsoft Official Courseware and exams. However, Azure courses have already been retired from the programme at the end of January 2020 and are therefore not eligible.
The Microsoft SATV programme will not be replaced by another programme, but new training and certification programmes will be released soon to support learners. If you have Microsoft SATVs to use and you want to to make the most of them, get in contact via email and we can help you plan your training or call us on 0118 912 1929.
