New Microsoft Security Courses

Microsoft will release brand new security training courses at the end of April. Read in this article which training courses are involved and what these training courses entail.

In addition to the existing learning and certification areas includeing: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Learning now also introduces a security learning area. You can follow the training courses at Global Knowledge from the end of April.

The security learning path, just like other Microsoft learning pathways, starts with a Fundamentals course.

Microsoft Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals (M-SC900)

Duration: 1 day

During this one-day Fundamentals training you will become acquainted with security solutions on Microsoft Azure. Learn about Zero-Trust, the Microsoft security and compliance principles, get to know the Service Trust Portal and learn about identity management on Azure AD. Learn more about the training via the button below.

After the training you can take the Microsoft Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) exam. You can book the exam on this page .

If you have completed the Fundamentals training, you can look deeper with three new Microsoft follow-up training courses and certifications. Learn more about these courses and certifications below.

Microsoft Information Protection Administrator (M-SC400)

Duration:  2 days

The Microsoft Information Protection Administrator certification is intended for administrators who translate compliance controls into technical implementation. During the training you will learn, among other things, how to define application requirements, test and develop policies for content classification, data loss, governance and protection.

Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (M-SC300)

Duration: 4 days

The Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (M-SC300) training and certification is suitable for administrators who manage (or want to manage) their organization's identity and access management system using Azure AD. During this training you will learn, among other things, how to troubleshoot, oversee the environment and grant secure authorization and security authentication.

Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (M-SC200)

Duration:  4 days

As a Security Operations Analyst you work together with stakeholders to protect the IT systems of your organization as well as possible. You reduce risks by acting quickly when an attack occurs, you propose improvements and inform concerned stakeholders of violations of organizational policy.

What about the exams?

The exams of the new security training courses are already available in beta. Learn about the beta exams on this Microsoft Learn page . The corresponding training courses will be available at the end of April - then the first training courses will also take place at Global Knowledge.

Will existing Microsoft security training and certifications disappear?

The new training courses and certifications are an addition to the Microsoft portfolio and come in addition to the existing training and certifications in Microsoft 365 ( M-MS500, Microsoft 365 Security Administrator ) and Microsoft Azure ( M-AZ500, Microsoft Azure Security Administrator ).
