Trainer

Overview of Job Role

  • To provide training and education services to Global Knowledge customers in accordance with vendor-specification, and to the quality standards documented in Global Knowledge’s quality procedures.
  • To provide sales support where necessary, keeping up to date with technology and industry innovations and feeding back delegate sales leads in a timely fashion.
  • To assist UK/EMEA sales and product management, providing sales support and customer engagement.
  • To respond to all operational, sales and customer requests within allotted time-scale.
  • To attend, where necessary, vendor TTTs and be prepared to redeliver to EMEA trainers as and when required.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • To be qualified and authorised to deliver assigned training courses prior to first delivery, ensuring the appropriate vendor process is followed
  • To deliver technical training courses as specified by the course vendor and in consultation with designated scheduling manager.
  • To deliver training courses to the required quality standards as detailed in Global Knowledge’s quality procedures
  • To adhere to vendor-specific requirements including but not limited to obtain / renew certificates and following required examination and invigilation guidelines.
  • To pursue agreed development plans and ensure that preparation time and team teaches are utilised to achieve these plans.
  • To attain the required standards in transfer of technical skills and delivery techniques as assessed in team teaches.
  • To be prepared to deliver courses from a suitable home office environment and at all Global Knowledge centres and customer sites as and when required.
  • To keep abreast of industry and vendor technology, exam and certification guidelines, distributing information to colleagues where applicable.
  • To provide sales support in the form of delegate leads and customer visits.
  • To complete all GK and/or Vendor specific end of course evaluations and proactively ensure delegates do the same.
  • To respond within given time-scales to all operational requests for contact, information and customer enquiries.
  • To manage a classroom and minimise delegate disruption and dissatisfaction.
  • To work closely with the designated scheduling manager to ensure that trainer utilisation meets or exceeds the company requirements.
  • To adopt and display the GK attitude – demonstrating a can do and positive attitude at all times.
  • To establish, build and maintain positive relationships and communication channels with all operational team members.
  • To perform any other duties as deemed necessary to support the growth and goals of Global Knowledge.

Experience / Qualifications Required

Essential

  • Job holder must have appropriate accreditations related to the vendor technology or framework for delivery and must demonstrate a track record of delivering quality training programmes. The job holder must also have appropriate certification / accreditation relating to the curriculum they teach

Desirable

  • Possess a recognised training qualification and will have proven industry experience in an engineering or consultancy position relevant to the vendor training role
