CDPSE is the first, technical experience-based certification of its kind that provides a valid and reliable means for enterprises to identify technologists who are competent in incorporating privacy by design into technology platforms, products and processes, communicating with legal professionals, and keeping the organisation compliant efficiently and cost effectively.
The CDPSE certification validates a privacy technologists’ ability to implement privacy by design into new and existing networks, platforms and products, building customer and stakeholder trust and mitigating risks of noncompliance.
Prerequisites
To apply for the CDPSE certification, you should have three years’ experience in Privacy Governance (Governance, Management and Risk Management), Privacy Architecture (Infrastructure, Applications/Software and Technical Privacy Controls) and Data Lifecycle (Data Purpose and Data Persistence).

About the CDPSE Exam
The ISACA CSPSE exam is an MCQ with 120 questions based on the following 3 areas:
- Privacy Governance (34%)
- Privacy Architecture (36%)
- Data Lifecycle (30%)
The exam is 3 hours in duration and needs to be scheduled via an approved PSI Center. This can be done via the PSI testing site https://isacaavailability.psiexams.com/. Please note: The CDPSE exam is only available in English, however, a glossary of terminology is provided by ISACA on their website in multiple languages.
Recertification
The CDPSE Continuing Professional Development Program (CPE) requires the validation of at least 20 hours of CPE per year and 120 hours of CPE every three years.
