At the end of April, Microsoft retired the Designing and Implementing Enterprise Scale Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI course (code M-DP500). The recommended replacement is Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (code M-DP600).

Additionally, on June 28th, Microsoft will sunset the Microsoft Power Platform App Maker (code M-PL100), to be replaced by the following Applied Skills:

  • Create and Manage Canvas Apps with Power Apps (code M-PL7001)
  • Create and Manage Automated Processes by using Power Automate (code M-PL7002)
  • Create and Manage Model-Driven Apps with Power Apps and Dataverse (code M-PL7003)

Please note, as part of the M-PL100 course change, its associated certification will also be discontinued on June 28th. After this date, obtaining this certification will no longer be possible, though certification renewal will be available for at least six months post-retirement.

Launching New Applied Skills in May and June

Starting May 24th, the Develop AI agents using Azure OpenAI and the Semantic Kernel SDK course (code M-AZ2005) will be available. This one-day course is designed for C# developers eager to use the Semantic Kernel SDK to connect their applications to Large Language Models. Participants will explore SDK's core functions and develop features that leverage LLM's natural language processing ability. This Applied Skill is ideal for those familiar with C# development and interested in integrating applications with AI.

On June 28th, the Configure and manage entitlement with Microsoft Entra ID course (code M-SC5008) will be available. This one-day course offers a deep dive into Microsoft Entra Entitlement Management, Access Reviews, Privileged Access, and Monitoring. Participants will learn how to streamline access management with Entitlement Management, conduct thorough Access Reviews to maintain least privilege, manage high-risk Privileged Access, and implement robust Monitoring strategies to promptly detect and respond to security events. Targeted at professionals aiming to implement an end-to-end entitlement management solution based on Zero Trust principles, attendees should have experience with Azure, identity creation, and access management.

Upcoming Microsoft Copilot Courses

The Get started with Microsoft Copilot for Security course (code M-SC5006) is slated for an early July release, along with several new Copilot courses.
