March 02, 2015

CARY, N.C. and TORONTO - Global Knowledge, the world's leading IT and business skills training provider, today announced that it is one of the first AXELOS Strategic Partners. AXELOS, who owns the Global Best Practice portfolio, including ITIL®, has introduced a Strategic Partner Scheme for Examination Institutes (EIs) and Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs).

The main objective of this scheme is to assist and support strategic partners to grow and drive the AXELOS Global Best Practice portfolio. "The Strategic Partner Scheme is a new initiative designed to demonstrate collaborative working practices between AXELOS and the wider accredited community," said Ellie Wallsgrove, global partner program manager at AXELOS. "The scheme will help cement the ethos of working together in partnership for the mutual benefit of all parties and their continued success." Wallsgrove continued, "It is this collaborative approach that helps us to bring the practical application of best practice theory to life."

Brian K. Branson, Global Knowledge president and CEO, said, "We are delighted to be among one of the first AXELOS Strategic Partners. We support their commitment to nurturing best practice communities on a worldwide scale, while also continuing to innovate and provide leading-edge resources to our customers."

AXELOS continues to put the emphasis on quality of training delivery, with key investment and innovation seeking to grow the portfolio and spread its use in international markets as the community moves forward.

Global Knowledge delivers an extensive range of learning delivery formats and brings a training portfolio to market that gives customers full flexibility. Branson said, "While we recognize the importance of innovation, it is paramount we provide our customers with flexible and cost-effective training. Combined with our multiple learning delivery formats, we feel we are best positioned to lead the growth of best practice training worldwide."

About AXELOS

On July 1, 2013, AXELOS was announced as the new joint venture company that the Cabinet Office had formed to promote and grow the U.K. government's portfolio of Best Management Practice accreditation and publishing services, including ITIL®, PRINCE2® and the other PPM products.

AXELOS now owns the intellectual property of the whole Best Management Practice portfolio and will build on the current business activities and developing products in new areas. The organization also has an ambitious program of investment and growth, and primary focus will now be on stimulating the growth of a vibrant, open international ecosystem of training, consultancy and examination organizations.
