Starting March 12th 2020, VMware will end support for vSphere 6.0. That might seem ages away, but the transformation is extensive, so it would be a bad idea to let it wait until the last minute. Don't wait too long, transfer to vSphere 6.7 on time.

Transferring from vSphere 6.0 to 6.7 is a big step. In this article, Global Knowledge pays attention to the transformation: which steps do you have to go through to complete the transfer to vSphere 6.7 and which training courses could you take to extend your knowledge about vSphere 6.7.

How do I upgrade?

You can upgrade to vSphere 6.7 from vSphere 6.0. If you're working with vSphere 5.5 for example, you won't be able to do the upgrade. You'll have to upgrade to vSphere 6.0 first.

According to VMware the upgrade is performed in phases. The components you upgrade in the earlier phases are fully compatible with the components whose upgrades have not yet occurred, VMware writes on its' website. Because of this, you won't have to do the entire upgrade in one go. You can find a step by step guide to help you upgrade on the website of VMware. On this webpage, you can also find out which license you need and which terms and conditions apply to vSphere 6.7.
