The Business Information Services Library (BiSL®) provides a framework for the field of work that lies between the connection of ICT to the business process. It is precisely this connection that is often not optimal. The BiSL® process model provides insight into all the main processes of the work field, and the relationships between them. It provides starting points for improving the processes, including through best practices, and it provides a uniform terminology.

Course Objectives

On completion of this training course, you will be able to articulate the context of the BiSL® framework and know the interrelationship between functional, application, technical management and the relationship of BiSL® with other models and methods (such as ASL® and ITIL®). You will gain insight into the BiSL® framework and the internal coherence of the processes. The specific learning objectives are:

  • Become familiar with the different BiSL® process clusters, the BiSL® processes within them and BiSL® terminology;
  • Gain insight into the BiSL® framework and internal coherence of the processes;
  • Gaining concrete tools for applying BiSL in your organisation;
  • Recognising the increasing importance of functional management;
  • Cultivating enthusiasm for this approach;
  • Preparation for the official exam.
