Learn how to deploy, protect, and scale SAP infrastructure with Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP Solutions.

High availability clustering can improve reliability, availability, and resilience of your mission-critical services, resulting in reduced downtime and easier hardware maintenance. Red Hat Enterprise Linux High Availability solutions for SAP help to reduce planned and unplanned downtime in scale-up and scale-out SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP NetWeaver environments.

This course teaches best practices for deploying SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA in a high availability configuration.
In addition, you will discover how to efficiently automate deployments with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat supported Ansible roles specific to SAP.

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to successfully provision, manage, and troubleshoot SAP HANA and S/4HANA high availability clusters that run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP Solutions.

Explaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP Solutions

  • Learn about the RHEL for SAP solutions offering, and how it differs from a standard RHEL entitlement. Learn about the components of high availability on RHEL.

Explaining SAP HANA System Replication

  • System replication in SAP HANA, learn about the scale up and scale out resource agents, multitarget replication, and failover in SAP HANA with RHEL High Availability.

Explaining SAP NetWeaver and S/4 High Availability

  • System replication with SAP NetWeaver and S/4, learn about the concepts of S/4HANA and NetWeaver in a Highly Available environment. Install the S/4 and NetWeaver resource agent. Learn about failover in these environments.

Automating SAP deployments with Ansible

  • Complete the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam (EX294) or demonstrate equivalent Linux and Ansible experience.
  • Follow Red Hat Enterprise Linux High Availability Clustering (RH436)
  • Internet access is required to download and license the SAP HANA Express Edition.
