Cisco Certified DevNet Associate Certification

This new Cisco Certified DevNet Associate certification proves your skills in developing and maintaining applications built on Cisco platforms.  The program certifies key emerging technical skills for a new kind of IT professional, empowering organizations to embrace the potential of applications, automation, and infrastructure for the network, IoT, DevOps, and Cloud. 

There is only 1 exam at the DevNet Associate level, it will test your knowledge of software development and design, including:

  • Understanding and using APIs
  • Cisco platforms and development
  • Application development and security
  • Infrastructure and automation

Please note: The below exam will not be available until 24th of February 2020

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites, but ideally candidates will have one or more years’ experience with software development including Python programming.

200-901 DEVASC Developing Applications and Automating Workflows using Cisco Platforms (DEVASC) also available as an e-learning (self-paced) course

Recertification

Recertification is an important indicator to you and your employer that you have kept up with current technology trends and validated your skills at the rigorous level of the original certification exam. All certifications will have a three-year recertification deadline

To recertify

  • Pass any one Associate exam
  • Pass any one professional concentration exam
  • Pass one technology core exam;
  • Pass one CCIE lab exam
  • Earn 80 Continuing Education points as the Continuing Education program will be extended to the CCNA, Specialist, CCNP, CCIE certifications – 80 Credits will be required for Professional Level recertifications  ( Link to Continuing Education Page)
