Which Microsoft training courses replace the M-AZ300 and M-AZ301?

Starting June 26th, the Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies (M-AZ300 and Microsoft Azure Architect Design (M-AZ301) training courses will disappear from the Microsoft portfolio. Learn all about the courses that will replace these Microsoft courses in this Global Knowledge article.

Which training courses do you attend for a Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification? Starting June 26st, you can attend the renewed Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies (M-AZ303) training course and the renewed Microsoft Azure Architect Design (M-AZ304) training course at Global Knowledge. The names of the courses might have stayed the same, but the course codes and the contents have changed.

Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies (M-AZ303)

Duration: 5 days
Who benefits from this course? IT-professionals that implement and design solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Which knowledge do I need prior to this course? Knowledge of IT-operations (networks, virtualization, security, business continuity and governance), development processes in Azure and DevOps

Last year, the M-AZ300 was set back to four days, but the replacement course (M-AZ303) has been extended to five days. This gives you more time to take in all that is taught in this training course - our participants are very satisfied with this change.

During this M-AZ303 training course, you will learn how to translate your organizations needs into safe, scale-able and trust-worthy solutions. Discover the possibilities of automation, virtualization, administration and security on the Azure-platform. During this training course you learn how the decisions you make in the Azure-platform influence your solution.

This training course is the perfect preparation for the AZ-3030 exam. This is the first of two exams you need to pass before you can become a Azure Solutions Architect Expert. The second training course (M-AZ304) and the second exam are more about the design of the technology.

Duration: 4 days
Who benefits from this course? IT-professionals that have knowledge of designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure
Which knowledge do I need prior to this course? Experience with multiple operating systems, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, administration and networks. You can find the full course description on this page.

An extra training course day has been added to the new M-AZ304 as well. This training course runs for four days now, instead of three. This training course is the last training course you attend before you take the AZ-304 exam. Once you've passed this exam, you can call yourself a Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

What about the AZ-301 and the AZ-300 exams?

Until September 30th, you can still take the AZ-301 and AZ-300 exams, If you've attended M-AZ300 or M-AZ301 training, you can take these exams for your Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.

The new exams AZ-303 and AZ-304 will become available starting June 29th. This means that after you've finished the new training courses, you can take the exams for your Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification straight away.
