Steve Baca

Steve Baca has been working in IT for more than 15 years, after earning a BS in computer science and mathematics from the University of Nebraska. Steve has performed programming and systems administration and provides technical training on VMware, NetApp, Sun Microsystems, and Symantec.

Jim Brogden

Jim Brogden is a senior data warehouse developer on the Enterprise Reporting team for Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) at their headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. He’s the lead author of all three official SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence textbooks and has more than 12 years of business intelligence development experience.

Daniel Cummins (CTT+, CASP, CSA+, Security+, CCNA)

Daniel Cummins is an instructor with Global Knowledge specializing in Security, Networking and PC Support training. Prior to becoming an instructor, Daniel also provided technical support for Global Knowledge instructors and did laptop and desktop maintenance and troubleshooting. He has a background in education and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Liberty University.

Ted Dziekanowski (CISSP, CISA, MCITP, MCTS, MCSE)

Ted Dziekanowski has nearly 20 years of IT experience with 17 years of messaging experience with both Lotus Domino and all versions of Microsoft Exchange. In additional to providing training as a certified instructor, Ted also contributed to two IBM Redbooks dealing with migration from either platform. Ted’s most recent accomplishments include becoming certified in the Microsoft System Center family of products and teaching a wide variety of products for Global Knowledge including CISA and CISSP exam prep classes, SCOM and SCCM, as well as Microsoft Exchange and Server 2008 classes.

Brian Egan (MSC, MBP, PMP)

Brian Egan is a management consultant with twenty years of experience in manufacturing and project management. He has published numerous articles and manuals in the field of management science with particular emphasis on project management and decision making.

Bill Ferguson

Bill Ferguson has been in the computer industry for over 20 years. Bill runs his own company as an independent contractor in Birmingham, Alabama, teaching classes for many national training companies, including Global Knowledge. Additionally, Bill has written and produced many technical training videos including: A+, Network+, Windows 2000 Management, Windows XP Management, Windows 2000 Security, Server+, and Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices. He also wrote MCSE 70-298 Exam Cram 2: Designing Security for a Windows Server 2003 Network for Que Publishing. In addition, he wrote the Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) Study Guide for Sybex Inc. and several Network+ titles. Most recently, he wrote The Official VCP5 Certification Guide and the VCP5-DCV, Official Cert Guide (Pearson/VMware Press).

Rebecca Fitzhugh

Rebecca Fitzhugh is a VMware Certified Instructor and consultant whose primary focus is on VMware virtual infrastructure products as well as the vCloud and Horizon suites. Prior to becoming an instructor and consultant, she served five years in the United States Marine Corps where she assisted in the build-out and administration of multiple enterprise networks residing on virtual infrastructure. Packt Publishing recently published her book, “vSphere Virtual Machine Management.”

Bruce Garrod

Bruce Garrod is a certified project management professional (PMP) with more than 30 years of management leadership experience. He has proven project delivery success in information technology, outsourcing and marketing environments. He has lead direct-report teams and project teams involving C-level executives, contractors, vendors and tactical delivery-level team members. Bruce is the president of Solutions Management Inc., the project management consulting company he established in 1999 and he is a partner at Advantis Project Management.


John Hales is a VMware instructor at Global Knowledge, teaching most of the vSphere classes that Global Knowledge offers, including the View classes. Along with developing custom courseware, John is the author of many books, including technical books from Sybex, exam preparation books, quick reference guides from BarCharts, and his latest book on vSphere entitled Administering vSphere 5: Planning, Implementing and Troubleshooting. In addition to his VMware certifications, John holds Microsoft MCSE, MCDBA, MOUS, and MCT certifications, EMC Storage Administrator (EMCSA) certification, and CompTIA A+, Network+, and CTT+ certifications. He lives with his wife and children in Sunrise, Florida.

Jeffrey Hall

Jeffrey Hall lives in the Memphis, TN area with his wife, two daughters, and 6-month old grandson. He is currently a full-time instructor and consultant with over 15 years of experience administering and engineering production networks. He has managed many aspects of networking, including virtualization, IP telephony, security, as well as systems management, such as email, DNS, DHCP, and web servers, UNIX servers, SAN storage, and large-format printing, and these days he specializes in VMware virtualization as well as Cisco IP Telephony, Security, and Datacenter operations.


Mike Hammond is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and has delivered technical training for over 14 years with a focus on infrastructure management and scripting technologies. He’s been programming since typing  ’ 10  PRINT “HI” ’ into his TI-99/4A in 1980. A Bachelor of Science in IT and Software Engineering, he lives in the Chicago area with his wife and three kids.

Rich Hummel (CCNA, CCNAW, CCSI)

Rich Hummel has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in technology management. He has worked extensively with wireless, video and cloud technologies.

John Mark Ivey

John Mark Ivey is an award-winning journalist and graphic designer with over 20 years of experience in the communications field. He has worked at Channel Master Satellite and News & Observer Publishing/McClatchy Interactive, and he currently manages Global Knowledge’s social media programs. A graduate of Campbell University, where he studied Mass Communications and Public Relations, John Mark has worked on projects with RCA, DIRECTV, Toshiba, Muzak, Ace Hardware, Lowe’s Home Improvement, and LabCorp. He is also an Apple Certified Support Professional.

Bill Lipiczky

Bill Lipiczky is an information security and service management professional with numerous years as an IT consultant, author and technical trainer. He has been involved in IT consulting, training and course development since the days of NetWare networks. Coauthor of books on information security and preparing for the CISSP exam, Lipiczky’s certifications include ITIL Expert, CISSP, CISA and CompTIA Technical Trainer+.

Vince Lo Faso

Vince Lo Faso is Managing Director of Cloud Service Management at Navigo Technologies, LLC. He is an IT service and cloud management professional with more than 25 years of IT industry experience. His certifications include: ITIL® V3 Expert, Cloud Essentials Professional (CEP), and AWS Solution Architect – Associate. Additionally, Vince holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec. He has spoken as conferences such as VMWorld User Conference, HP Universe, and local user-groups. Vince assists IT organizations in developing and improving their IT capabilities, process workflows and IT operations.

Dallas Marks

Dallas Marks is a SAP Mentor and business intelligence architect and trainer with EV Technologies. An active blogger, speaker and co-author of the SAP Press book “SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence: The Comprehensive Guide”, Dallas prefers piano keyboards over computer keyboards when not blogging or tweeting about Business Intelligence.

Adam McClellan

Adam McClellan has more than a decade of experience as a project professional, including stints as a business architect and business analyst. As a Project Management Professional, Certified ScrumMaster, and Six Sigma Green Belt, he brings a focus on high-quality solutions and timely delivery to his work, and he has experienced first-hand the valuable knowledge and enlightening conversations to be had at all levels of an organization.

Perry McLeod

Perry McLeod is a learning professional with over twenty years of practical experience in business analysis and project management. Perry is a former instructor for the Schulich School of Business, University of Toronto, Sheridan and Seneca and a former vice president of professional development for the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Toronto chapter. He holds several certifications including the PMI Professional Business Analyst and ScrumMaster credentials.

Douglas McKillip (PE, CCIE #1851, CCSI)

Douglas McKillip is the President and Principal Consultant of Innovative Integrators Inc., a Delaware Corporation actually based in Delaware.After 15 years of experience at DuPont, and a brief stint with the original start-up company associated with the Raptor Eagle Firewall, Doug began his now 15+ year career of teaching and consulting, specializing in Internet Security with hardware from Cisco since 1998. In addition to a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from MIT, Doug also later obtained an MS from the University of Delaware in Computer and Information Science.

Alex Meade

Alex Meade is an instructor with Global Knowledge as well as a DevOps consultant. He was a core contributor for five years early in the popular, open-source OpenStack project and thus has a strong understanding of “the cloud” and large, complex systems. Alex’s recent work has been focused on DevOps, Docker containers, and the Google Cloud Platform. He currently does all of this while traveling and living all over the world.

Rich Morrow

Rich Morrow is a full-stack generalist with particular depth in and love for public cloud (IaaS and AWS) and big data (Hadoop) technologies. Through his partnership with Global Knowledge, he provides live AWS and Hadoop training. He also enjoys speaking and writing on cloud, big data, and mobile/web technologies as a GigaOM Pro Analyst.

Randy Muller (MCT, MCSE, MCSA, MCDST)

Randy Muller is an instructor with Global Knowledge, specializing in teaching Microsoft certification boot camps, as well as courses on Exchange, Server 2008 and Office Communications Server.

Bradley Needham

Bradley Needham is a developer, instructor and author with more than 25 years of experience in software development. He has written several courses on Java, C++ and Swift, as well as worked on large software systems for Boeing, AT&T Wireless, Southwestern Bell and others. Currently he is working on building the next-generation asynchronous learning platform.

Cheryl Nygaard

Cheryl Nygaard has over 20 years experience training on customer premise equipment and has worked for Global Knowledge for the past 12 years. She currently holds APSS, ACIS, and ACSS certifications in Avaya IP Office as well as ACIS certification in Avaya Aura Communication Manager. Cheryl is Course Director for IP Office. She is also a Certified SonicWALL trainer and CompTIA Security+ certified.

Chris Olsen

Chris Olsen has been an IT trainer since 1993 and an independent consultant and technical writer since 1996. He has taught over 60 different IT, data center and telephony classes to over 15,000 students. He is a technical author for Cisco certified Courses. He has also authored technical exams for Cisco’s and Microsoft’s certification programs.

Gidget Pryor

Gidget Pryor is a SQL Server consultant and instructor with over 20 years database, systems engineering, application development, and programming experience. She worked with multiple database platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, FoxPro, Access and Sybase. She especially enjoys business intelligence and performance tuning. She is currently the Global Knowledge SQL Server course director.

Brad Puckett (ITIL v3 and PMC-II)

Brad Puckett is a Senior Product Manager with Global Knowledge. Brad has spent over 17 years in the information security realm, including applied security operations, policy and risk management, system forensics and analysis, and thought leadership. He performs business analysis and product leadership for Global Knowledge for all applied technical and governance, risk management, and compliance offerings in the IT security portfolio.

Michael Scarborough

Michael Scarborough has worked in information technology since the late 1980s in various roles including direct hands-on operation of IT systems, leadership of complex projects, establishing multi-platform automation, management of information security projects, and adoption of service management best practices. He has helped numerous organizations in various industries adopt ITIL best practices and is an ITIL v2 Service Manager, an ITIL Expert, a PMP, and a CISSP. Michael currently helps large and small organizations make significant improvements through adoption of ITIL best practices.

Bill Scott

Bill Scott is a Professional Engineer (PE), Program Management Professional (PgMP), and Project Management Professional (PMP) who has specialized in large, complex, long-term, and constructed environmental project work for electric utilities and heavy industry. Bill has more than 35 years of experience in engineering, managing projects, and project-related businesses. For the last 15 years, he has worked as a project and professional skills consultant and trainer.

Ted Singdahlsen

Ted Singdahlsen is the Learner Experience Manager at Global Knowledge. He has an MFA in Electronic Art from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and has worked in eLearning development since 2006. Prior to that, he taught several college courses in digital media and worked as a digital animator. For fun, Ted composes music and plays with his pit bull (not usually at the same time).

Linda Smith

Linda Smith, UK Business Development Director for Microsoft and VMware, has worked in the IT training industry for over 16 years and focuses on major account development across all verticals. Linda works closely with leading vendors at Global Knowledge UK such as Microsoft and VMware whilst also continuing to support strategic account development. Linda spends most of her spare time with her husband and children. She loves to travel and also tries to fit in yoga as much as she can.

James Michael Stewart (CISSP, CEH, ECSA, CHFI and Security+)

James Michael Stewart has been working with computers and technology for nearly 30 years. His work focuses on security, certification, and various operating systems. Michael, a Global Knowledge instructor teaches courses that include CISSP, ethical hacking/penetration testing, computer forensics and Security+. He is the primary author on the CISSP Study Guide 7th Edition, and the Security+ Review Guide (SYO-401).

Dan Stober

Dan Stober is a business analyst and PMP-certified project manager whose experience includes managing projects for the United States military in the U.S., the Middle East and Europe. Stober manages the project management and business analysis training portfolios at Global Knowledge.

Ed Tittel

Ed Tittel is a full-time freelance writer who specializes in IT certification, Windows operating systems, information security and markup languages and who occasionally works as a consultant and expert witness. Ed’s thrice-weekly Windows Enterprise Desktop blog focuses directly on Windows issues, hacks and technologies relevant to IT pros and business users. He also blogs weekly for and Tom’s IT Pro.

Tracy Wallace

Tracy Wallace is a full-time Instructor for Global Knowledge. He primarily teaches .NET development, all things SharePoint, SQL Server, and is starting to teach Azure. About once a decade he certifies on Windows operating systems and Active Directory.

Brad Werner

Brad Werner is a software engineer, IT consultant, and technical trainer in Phoenix, Arizona. Brad has been teaching and developing courses for Global Knowledge for 15 years. He’s a best-selling author whose software, books, and award-winning course materials have been used worldwide. Brad holds a B.S. in Computer Science, has completed half of a Masters in Telecommunications, as well as other certifications.

Martha Wightman

Martha Wightman loves to teach Data Networking Fundamentals and Avaya Aura administration, integration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting courses in the classroom and online. Her certifications include Avaya Certified Integration Specialist for Aura Core Components 7.0 and Avaya Certified Support Specialist 6.0 on CM, CMM, SMGR, ASM, and CS1K. She has worked in the telecommunications industry since 1994 and has a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering.
