WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

The SME portfolio is a subsidy from the Flemish government, intended for Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Flanders. These companies can receive financial support for:

• Training courses for themselves or their employees
• Consultancy services from recognized service providers

For SMEs, this certification means that partnering with Global Knowledge Belgium now comes with tangible financial benefits. Eligible businesses can receive up to:

• 30% subsidy (max €7,500/year) for small enterprises
• 20% subsidy (max €7,500/year) for medium-sized enterprises

This significantly lowers the barrier for companies to invest in high-impact training and consultancy, particularly in areas like IT upskilling, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and digital strategy.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Your company must be registered with VLAIO.
• You must enter into an agreement with a recognized service provider (for advice) or enroll in a training course.
• The subsidy application must be submitted within 14 days of the start of the training course or advisory services.
• You must pay your own contribution into the SME portfolio account within 30 days of the application.

HOW TO APPLY?

The application procedure for the KMO-portefeuille is completely digital. If you want to apply for a subsidy you must:

• First register your company here.
• Sign up for a training program or you sign a consultancy agreement at Skillsoft Global Knowledge.
• Submit your subsidy application You have to submit the subsidy application within 14 days of the start of the training.
• The payment will be made via the KMO-portefeuille.
