Citrix certifications lead to salaries above the market average

Of the 16,200-plus IT professionals or decision-makers who participated in our annual salary and skills survey, nearly nine percent hold at least one Citrix certification. Their skills were above average in global markets. Compared to other certification road maps, the average salaries aligned with Citrix certifications were higher than the market average, which is good news for those currently holding these credentials.

Top 5 highest-paying Citrix certifications

There are five Citrix certifications that delivered higher-than-average salaries in the EMEA-region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), according to our IT Skills and Salary Report. Specifically, the biggest paychecks are reserved for those certified in virtualization and networking.

1. Citrix Certified Professional – Networking (CCP-N) — $58,946

Designed for network engineers, CCP-N validates the knowledge and skills needed to secure, manage, and optimize Citrix NetScaler.

Recommended training: Citrix NetScaler Advanced Topics – Security, Management, and Optimization (CNS-320)

2. Citrix Certified Expert – Virtualization (CCE-V) — $58,130

The CCCE-V credential validates the skills that experienced IT solution designers, such as architects, engineers and consultants, need to assess and design comprehensive XenDesktop solutions.

Recommended training: Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.1x Assessment, Design, and Advanced Configurations (CXD-410)

3. Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V) — $55,623

CCP-V validates the skills that experienced IT solution builders, such as engineers and consultants, need to install, configure and roll out common XenDesktop solutions.

Recommended training (two paths):

• Path 1: Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.1x Advanced Administration (CXD-310)
• Path 2: Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and Provisioning Services 7.1x (CMB-310), Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.1x Optimization and Troubleshooting (CXD-303)

4. Citrix Certified Professional – Mobility (CCP-M) — $52,957

The CCP-M certification validates the skills required to design, deploy and manage a Citrix XenMobile Enterprise solution that includes mobile device management, mobile application management and secure productivity.

This certification didn’t quite reach our respondent threshold to make the list of top-paying certifications, but the number of IT professionals holding this certification increased by 27% from 2017.

5. Citrix Certified Associate – Networking (CCA-N) — $52,554

CCA-N is designed for network and system admins. It validates the knowledge and skills needed to implement and manage Citrix NetScaler 10 for app and desktop virtualization solutions.

• Citrix NetScaler Essentials and Unified Gateway (CNS-222)
