Available February 24, 2020:

On February 24, 2020, Cisco will release new certification exams. New training will roll out over the next several months.  If you have started working toward the current CCNP Service Provider certification, then keep going. If you gain your CCNP Service Provider certification before February 24, 2020 then you will automatically be given the new CCNP Service Provider Certification plus 3 Specialist Certifications. IF you do not complete before the February 24, 2020 then you will receive credit for work you’ve already completed.

The Cisco Certified Network Professional Service Provider certification is for service provider network engineers, systems engineers, and network specialists who are responsible for delivering a scalable carrier-grade infrastructure capable of rapid expansion to support ongoing introduction of new managed services and other customer requirements.

Recertification

Cisco Professional-level certifications (CCDP, CCNP Cloud, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Security, CCNP Service Provider, and CCNP Wireless) are valid for three years.

To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

  • Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam, or
  • Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
  • Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
  • Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications
