CyberSecurityAwarenessQOW462952601BWhich of the following is the least a risky behavior?

A. Surfing the Web.
B. Opening e-mail attachments.
C. Reading a book.
D. Using portable media to transfer files between computers.

Reveal Answer

Answer: C.

Unless you are reading a suspense novel and get very frightened or nervous, reading a book is the least risky behavior in this list. Take precautions when using technology to reduce your risk. When Web surfing, ensure that you’re using the latest version of your browser as well as reputable anti-spyware and anti-virus software. Don’t open attachments unless you verify that the sender intentionally sent one and you are confident the sender is trustworthy. Keep your anti-malware scanners up to date, and don’t share a media device (like a USB thumb drive) with someone you don’t know.
