Cisco is changing up her certifications in February 24th, 2020. An important change is that the ICND1, ICND2 and the CCNABC-training courses disappear. These courses will be replaced by one brand new CCNA-training course. Curious what you can expect from this course? Read it in the article.

What can you expect of the new CCNA-training course? What's changed? What do you have to pay attention to when you want to get certified after this course?

You can pass you certificate with only one exam

You could only get CCNA-certified if you passed two exams (#200-105 and 100-105). You've got the new CCNA-certification in the pocket after one exam.

The contents of the training have changed

The contents of the new CCNA-certification consist of basic knowledge you need for the future of networking and infrastructure. On their own website, Cisco writes that the CCNA-certification is the fundament of all further IT-knowledge. The new CCNA-certification covers everything from security to automation. It's a must for when trying to attain a relatively new job role in IT and when you're working with relatively new technology.

During the CCNA-training you'll attain basic networking knowledge but your security-knowledge is also updated. Parts of the course are about programming and automation. Because of the range of topics this course covers, you'll get a perfect foundation for a further career in IT.

If you'd rather be a specialist in one domain after gaining your CCNA-certificate, it's a good idea to try and pass your Cisco Certified Network Certification (CCPN).
