Despite rapid advances in technology, and widespread use of networks over the last few decades, the TCP/IP v4 is still the predominant protocol in use.
It is also quite surprising to see significant gaps or deficiencies in the foundational TCP/IP knowledge of many networking and IT professionals. This 1-hour webinar attempts to highlight the common areas of such gaps and how to overcome them.
While Parag was a student at the University of Maryland, College Park, he had a student job on campus as a Network Technician. He learned enough to start as a Network Administrator as his first job out of college. For the next several years he took on progressively advancing roles supporting numerous commercial, government, and DOD networks. They involved networks of various sizes, and a wide range of technologies. In addition to gaining valuable experience, he earned Novell, Microsoft, and Cisco certifications.
In 2000 he started teaching Cisco courses for Global Knowledge and taught CCNA, CCNP, VOIP, and BGP classes. After a hiatus from technology, he resumed teaching general networking and Security classes for Global Knowledge.
He likes to use humor, creative analogies, and an engaging style to help students acquire practical skills and fundamental concepts all while having fun.
