The Managing Wireless Networks with Cisco Prime Infrastructure (MWNPI) is based on the best portions of the Managing Enterprise Networks with Cisco Prime Infrastructure (NMENPI) course and content from CCNP Wireless courseware to focus on using Cisco Prime Infrastructure to manage Cisco wireless networks. You will learn to manage the wireless with Cisco Prime Infrastructure Inventory and Configuration menus. The course explains using the Map tools to create and use maps to monitor and troubleshoot the wireless network.

Using the Administration menus, you will manage user access to tasks, functions, and devices in Cisco Prime Infrastructure. Explore the use of Cisco AVC, QoS, Cisco TrustSec identity services on the controller and how to implement them using Cisco Prime Infrastructure. The course will demonstrate implementing the guest access feature set and controller-based features such as Bonjour Services and Application Visibility & Control using Cisco Prime Infrastructure. Students will explore techniques for monitoring and troubleshooting your network with various Cisco Prime Infrastructure tools and reports.

Hands-on labs via remote access using real Cisco gear cover controller firmware release 8.1 as well as Cisco Prime Infrastructure software release 3.0.

This course is available in multiple formats. You can purchase instructor-led training (ILT) in a classroom setting or virtual ILT via the web. Both the classroom ILT and virtual ILT versions of this course come with access to our state-of-the-art remote labs using actual Cisco equipment.

For the classroom ILT version of this course, a laptop is neededĀ to participate in labs. Your laptop must haveĀ an Ethernet port as well as an internal wireless NIC, 802.11a/b/g/n. Access to the remote labs requires a browser that supports Java(R) and permissions to open RDP or encrypted (RDP443) RDP sessions. If your browser does not support Java, you will need administrator rights to the laptop to install software.
