Course Overview


Spend Analysis is a product, which allows Users to scrutinize corporate spending data in myriad ways. Users work with a data cube of the corporate financial data. That data cube is organized into Dimensions that make the data comprehensible to Spend Analysis Users. These Dimensions are ways of categorizing and viewing the financial data and they can be reconfigured as needed. This course will teach you to understand and work with Dimensions. You will learn to apply filters to a Dimension to provide a more granular view of the Spend data to support your analysis of it.

Management users are those who will work with Spend Analysis in support of their corporate financial oversight responsibilities but who are not likely to become experts in all intricacies of the product. Rather than create Spend Analysis constructs, they will work with those that have been created for them by others. The course is designed to teach IBM® Emptoris® Spend Analysis Management Users to work with constructs such as Tabulations, Bookmarks, Dashboards, Top Reports and Analytics. These constructs enable detailed analysis of corporate financial expenditures, which can inform and enlighten managers who have decision-making responsibilities regarding corporate spending.

This course is an abridged version of the course titled IBM® Emptoris® Spend Analysis for Power Users V10.0.2 (WBT) (6D538)

Training videos are a basic component of this course; many videos are included in each lesson. The videos reinforce, through demonstration, the concepts and procedures taught in each lesson. Lessons conclude with a quiz to check your knowledge and reinforce the concepts you learned. Learners are encouraged to practice what they learn in their own copy of Spend Analysis.
