Associate's Certificate in Program Management

McMaster University Training

The Program Management Professional Development Program offers an array of courses that support the Project Management Institute's (PMI's) project management body of knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) areas and The Standard for Program Management, as well as other key business skill areas determined to be critical to successful program management.

To earn an Associate's Certificate in Program Management, you must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Complete three courses within two years
  • Pass the final test at the end of each course with a minimum grade of 70%
  • Attend at least 90% of class time

Start by taking the following Program Management course which is aligned with PMI's The Standard for Program Management and includes units devoted to each phase of the program life cycle:

Then take one of the following Program Management Core courses:

Finally, take one course from either the Program Management Core courses listed above or the Program Management Electives listed below:


Upon successful completion of the program, you will earn an Associate's Certificate in Program Management awarded by the McMaster University Centre for Continuing Education.
