Course Overview

This day and a quarter (nine-hour) course is designed for Sales Engineers responsible for Pre- and Post-Sales Support of Business Communications Manager (BCM). Through lecture, discussion, and a case study, you will learn how to determine the requirements needed to properly implement BCM. Topics include:

  • Describing Architecture Components Explaining Management Applications.
  • Discussing Data Networking.

  • Exploring Converged Solutions.
  • Applying Your Knowledge - a Case Study.

This course is taught at the BCM50 Rls. 3.0 level.

Note: A portion of this class illustrates the use of a stand-alone version of Nortel Networks Enterprise Configurator (EC) quotation and configuration tool, which is available at https://app8.nortel.com/ec/. Since we cover advanced features of a Business Communications Manager 50 system, you will need to know a little bit about BCM50 and we recommend that you have basic data and telephony skills. We also recommend that you have access to the BCM Handbook and to Nortel sales/marketing information on BCM50.
