This course is designed to introduce business professionals such as marketing managers, the skills they need to create and manage WebSphere Commerce marketing objects for their store, and the core features of the Marketing, and Promotions tool of Management Center that is provided by IBM WebSphere Commerce V7 Feature Pack 7.
The skills that are developed in this course enable WebSphere Commerce business users to create, and manage different business objects such as marketing content, e-marketing spots, web activity, dialog activity, and marketing experiment with the use of the Marketing tool of the Management Center. The course also explains how the promotions can be managed with the use of the Promotions tool of the Management Center. It enables business users to compare the features between direct sales store, and extended sites store.
The course begins with an overview of marketing elements. It introduces the students to WebSphere Commerce key marketing objects, supported by a scenario, and possible objectives for using them, and different marketing management tasks of marketing managers. Subsequent units cover the key features of the Marketing tool that include folders and working with different business objects such as create and change marketing content, build marketing activities and experiments. They also outline how to create and manage promotions by using the Promotions tool. They briefly specify how the marketing and promotion management tasks in direct sales store change in extended sites store.
A scenario-based sample demonstration is provided to facilitate students to understand how to log in to the Management Center, and create a marketing activity and change a web activity by including an experiment supported by a promotion in the Aurora store. The course consists of instructions that can be used to re-create demonstration tasks.
