Now at Version 3.0 - New Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching Curriculum

 The CCNA Routing and Switching certification provides foundational knowledge to support enterprise network infrastructures. It validates your ability to configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks. Certified network administrators have the skills to operate LANs, make connections to remote sites via a WAN, and mitigate basic security threats.

The CCNA Routing and Switching v3.0 certification targets the following job roles:

  • Network Administrators
  • Network Support Engineers
  • Network Engineer Associate
  • Network Specialist
  • Network Analyst

The CCNA Routing and Switching v3.0 exams will be available beginning May 17, 2016. The existing version 2.0 exams will be available until August 20, 2016 (ICND1 and CCNAX) and September 24, 2016 (ICND2). For students in process of completing the CCNA Routing and Switching certification, the retiring exams will apply towards the new certification.

Migration Path

Already passed the ICND1 v2.0 exam? No problem. Per the v3.0 migration plan you can take either the ICND2 v2.0 or ICND2 v3.0 exam to earn the CCNA Routing and Switching certification.

Version 2.0 Exam Retirement

  • ICND1 v2.0 exam (100-101) will retire on August 20, 2016
  • CCNAX v2.0 exam (200-120) will retire on August 20, 2016
