Global Knowledge Launches Unified Communications Training Courses Integrating Cisco and Microsoft Technologies
Cary, N.C. - February 3, 2009 - Global Knowledge, the worldwide leader in IT and Business training, today announced the availability of two new Unified Communications (UC) training courses integrating Cisco and Microsoft technologies. One course provides training on dial plan integration, while the other provides instruction on Presence server deployment, configuration, and integration. Both courses are application-oriented and emphasize hands-on training in real-world scenarios, allowing students to gain skills they can use immediately following class.
In Cisco and Microsoft Dial Plan Integration (CMDPI), students will learn to design and implement a UC network with a complex dial plan, integrating Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Microsoft Office Communication Server (OCS). Students will learn the key features of both vendors' technologies, including CUCM and OCS architecture and dial plan components, along with dial plan troubleshooting. Incoming students should be familiar with PBX or IP Telephony administration and management, basic dial plan concepts, network protocols, Active Directory, and UC applications such as e-mail, voice mail, and presence.
In Enhanced Cisco Presence with Microsoft Foundations (ECPMF), students will learn to implement a complete Cisco Presence solution leveraging the full capabilities of Cisco and Microsoft. Students will discover the key Presence architectural components, product features, and points of interoperability between the two vendor technologies. Students enrolling in this course should be familiar with CUCM, Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Server 2003 Messaging, OCS 2007, network protocols, and UC applications.
