FYI: Route 66 is a HOV2 (High Occupancy Vehicle³must have at least two people in car to access) road in-bound from 6:30am to 9:30am and out-bound from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Plan accordingly. Evening restrictions are lifted for anyone going to Dulles airport.

From National Airport

Exit the airport and follow signs to 395 south. Follow 395 south to Exit 7, Glebe Rd (Rt. 120, North). Make a right and follow Glebe Road for approx. 4 miles. Turn right on N. Carlin Springs Road, which will lead you directly into the Ballston Public Parking garage.

From Dulles Airport

Exit the airport and follow the access road (267 East) to 495 toward Richmond. Follow 495 to 66 East. Follow 66 East to exit 71, Ballston. At the first traffic light, merge right onto Glebe Road. Once on Glebe Road, stay in the far left lane. Go through 2 traffic lights to N. Carlin Springs Road. Make a left on N. Carlin Springs Road directly into the Ballston Public Parking garage.

Alternate directions from Points North

Travel 95 South until it changes to 495 towards Silver Spring/Northern Virginia. Stay on 495 to Route 50, Arlington Blvd. (towards Arlington). Stay in your right lane to far right lane to exit onto Route 50. Travel Route 50 to Glebe Road. At the Glebe Road exit, take a left at the traffic light. Follow Glebe Road approximately 2 miles to N. Carlin Springs Road; make a right directly into the Ballston Mall Parking garage.

From points north/west

Travel 270 South. Take the spur going towards Virginia. This takes you directly into 495 South. Follow 495 South until you get to Arlington Blvd. (Rt. 50). Take that towards Washington, DC (East/North). Exit Rt. 50 at Rt. 7 (Seven Corners Area) exit. On the on-ramp follow signs for Rt. 613 East (Wilson Blvd). Take Wilson Blvd (Rt. 613) for approximately two miles. Take a right at N. Glebe Road. At the very next light (on Glebe) take a left into the Ballston Mall parking garage

From points east

Travel 50 West to New York Ave. to 395 south (through a tunnel under downtown). Take 395 South into Virginia. Follow 395 to Exit 7, Glebe Road (North). Follow Glebe Road for approximately 4 miles. Turn right on N. Carlin Springs Road, which will lead you directly into the Ballston Public Parking garage.

From points west

Travel 66 east to 495 towards Richmond. Take Arlington Blvd. (Rt. 50) towards Washington, DC (East/North). Exit Rt. 50 at Rt. 7 (Seven Corners Area). From the on-ramp follow signs for Rt. 613 East (Wilson Blvd). Follow Wilson Blvd for approximately two miles. Take a right onto N. Glebe Road. At the second traffic light take a left into the Ballston Public Parking garage.

Transportation:

Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (METRO)

The Metro is the most convenient mode of transportation to the Washington Training Center. The Training Center is two blocks from the Ballston Metro stop. The Ballston stop is on the Orange line toward either Vienna from DC or toward New Carrollton from Falls Church and beyond.

From National Airport

Take the blue line towards Addison Road. Get off at the Rosslyn metro stop and transfer to the orange line toward Vienna. Get off at the Ballston Metro stop. Take the escalator or elevator to the street level (there is only one exit from the Ballston station). Walk to the right onto N. Stuart Street. Look to your left and you will see the Macy's Department Store. Walk towards Macy's to Wilson Blvd where you will see the Ballston Common Mall. Cross over Wilson and continue to walk to your left. Enter 4238 Wilson Blvd which is the main mall entrance. Walk straight directly to the back right corner of that main floor until you see Rock Bottom Brewery on the left and Union Jacks on the right. Walk through the glass doors, where you will see a security desk. Students will not need to sign in, they will simply get on the elevators and go to the 10th floor and look for the receptionist area.

From Dulles Aiport

There is no Metro accessibility from Dulles Airport.

Taxis/Shuttles

Parking:

Parking is available at the Ballston Commons parking garage attached to the Ballston Commons Mall. It can be accessed from Glebe Road (street address of garage is 627 North Glebe Road) or Randolph Street. Visitors can park anywhere on level G4-G7. Parking is $10 a day, and the garage accepts cash and credit cards. PLEASE NOTE THAT LEVELS G1/M1-G3/M3 IS FOR MONTHLY PERMIT HOLDERS ONLY. From the parking garage take the elevators to level G1/M1 (Mall Level 1). Exit the elevator and walk towards the Ballston Tower 671 N. Glebe Road signage. Walk through the doors and make a right towards the main level of the mall which is where the Ballston Tower is. Once you are in the mall you will see Union Jacks on your right and Rock Bottom on your left. Walk through the entrance where you will see 671 Ballston Tower and take the elevator up to the 10th floor.

Oversized Parking - Vehicles six feet-six inches (6'-6") or higher cannot fit into the Ballston Commons Garage. However, you can park at Stafford Place Parking on N. Stuart Street, just off of Wilson Blvd, diagonally across from the main mall entrance 4238 Ballston Commons Mall. Clearance is 7' and they have an Early Bird rate of $4.50 for the day if you park before 9am.
