DCUCI v4.0 - Data Center Unified Computing Implementation
Using UCS Manager v2.0, learn to install and provision a Cisco UCS system including hardware, hypervisors, and applications.
This course is not currently offered by Global Knowledge. Information here is provided for reference only.
In this course, you will learn rack installation and how to provision server hardware, operating systems or hypervisors, and applications. Significant content is devoted to management, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
You will review Cisco data center virtualization solutions and learn how to execute one based on a detailed implementation plan. Following an actual implementation workflow, you will gain hands-on practice configuring the most recent Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) solutions, including Cisco UCS B-Series, Cisco UCS C-Series, and Cisco Nexus 1000V product families.
This newly updated course includes hands-on labs designed around UCS Manager v2.0 and walks current and prospective data center administrators through Cisco's UCS B-Series and UCS C-Series components. You will focus heavily on systems architecture, installation, and administration. You will learn about the individual components of a complete solution and how to install, configure, and maintain a Cisco UCS installation in various types of environments.
Hands-on configuration labs throughout the week will reinforce the information as you build a complete solution.
This course includes two e-Learning components that you should complete before attending class:
- VIrt101-ELT (~6 hours): Covers virtualization basics and server architecture
- DCUCI-ELT (~10 hours): Introduces the Cisco UCS B and C Series and presents use cases
