MLSTE (Cisco MPLS Technology Essentials)
Who Needs to Attend
Network Engineers, Network Architects and Network Support professionals will benefit from the presentation and labs of MPLS Technology Essentials.
Prerequisites
MLSTE is a powerful course designed for network professionals with a working knowledge of network protocols and a solid grasp of TCP/IP, fundamental networking concepts, and routed networks. This knowledge provided in Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices (ICND) and Building Scaleable Cisco Networks (BSCN) is required before attending MLSTE 1.0. Understanding of ATM concepts is recommended.
Follow-On Courses
Students can follow the MLSTET (MPLS Technology Essentials) class with these classes, which are offered as on-site courses only:
- AMVS (Advanced MPLS VPN Solutions)
- IMPLS (Implementing Cisco® MPLS in BPX and MGX Networks)
This course is not currently offered by Global Knowledge. Information here is provided for reference only.
This 4-day Authorized Cisco course introduces MPLS on specific router and switch platforms. Topics covered will be MPLS Technology Overview, Label Distribution Protocol, Traffic Engineering, Class of Service, MPLS VPNs, MPLS VPN Management and MPLS with ATM. This class does not cover implementations on BPX and MGX platforms. Platforms covered include the 7200, 7500, 3600, and the LS 1010.
This 4-day Authorized Cisco course is designed to introduce students to MPLS concepts. The use of MPLS enhances utilization of routing resources. MPLS features enhance network security and bandwidth optimization previously unavailable with legacy routing protocols.
NEW! With this Cisco purchase, receive a FREE 30-day subscription to a customized version of the Global Knowledge Online Reference Library. This FREE resource includes complete access to the entire Online Reference Library which includes a large number of Cisco training titles.
