Who Needs to Attend

Partners who want to demonstrate, design, deploy, and administer Microsoft UC Voice solutions (Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Unified Messaging and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007)

 

Prerequisites

  • UM Power Up - Complete all 3 labs and 4 tutorials; allow about 5 hours (1 hour per tutorial, .5 hour per HOLO).
  • OCS 2007 Ignite - Complete all 9 labs and 8 tutorials; allow about 20 hours (1 hour per lab, 1+ hour per tutorial). Additional presentations to support the labs can be found here under Training.

Unified Communications (UC) Voice Ignite is a 5-day technical workshop based on the interaction of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 with PBX systems in terms of UC Voice interoperability. The goal of UC Voice Ignite is to enable telecommunications and networking plus IT professionals to successfully deploy Microsoft's UC Voice solution in production with gateway and PBX interoperability.

The UC Voice Ignite Workshop reviews many of the features and capabilities that are built into Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, including Rich Presence, Instant Messaging, Audio/Video Conferencing, and Enterprise Voice. Acting as an OCS Administrator, attendees will deploy an OCS Voice environment beginning post-server installation, through to enabling users and clients, and including the configuration of some advanced features, such as edge servers, gateways, and dialing plans. Primary attendee focus will be to perform Telephony Integration, creating a "single click for all mediaEnterprise Voice Solution.
