CCNA Voice
Cisco's CCNA Voice certification is one of three technical "concentrations" released in 2008 in response to a Cisco study that found 69% of IT managers expect to have a dedicated voice specialist role in their IT organization within five years, while only 40% have them today.
CCNA Voice confirms an individual has the required skill set for these
specialized job roles (such as voice administrator, voice engineer, and voice
manager) by validating skills in VoIP technologies such as IP PBX, IP telephony,
handset, call control, and voicemail solutions. Through the course of preparing
for the exam, you'll also get exposure to the Cisco Unified Communications
architecture and design covering mobility, presence, and TelePresence
applications.
Cisco created two routes to achieve CCNA Voice certification, once you have your
CCNA*:
- The enterprise option assesses skills and knowledge related to Cisco UCM 6.0, typically used in large organizations
- The commercial option assesses skills and knowledge related to Cisco UME and CUE, which are typically used by companies with less than 2,000 employees
The following courses help you prepare for this certification.
Enterprise Option
CVOICE v6.0 - Cisco Voice over IP
Commercial Option
IIUC - Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications
