You can take some of our Red Hat exams from home starting now. Find out which exams this applies to and how an exam from home works.

Would you like to take a Red Hat exam but is it not possible to get to one of our locations? No worries - you can now take certain Red Hat exams from home.

How does an exam from home work?

Your exam takes place in a live environment. This environment is monitored by a remote proctor. He or she makes sure you adhere to the exam rules.

The exam runs on your own X86_54, Fedora or cloud environment. Learn more on this Red Hat page.

Which exams can you take from home?

The exams listed below are available for remote proctoring:

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) examen (EX200)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (EX294)
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration examen (EX280)
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Application Development examen (EX288)
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in Virtualization examen (EX318)
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in Deployment and Systems Management examen (EX403)
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation examen (EX407)

How do you book a remote exam?

To book a remote exam, you get an exam voucher for Red Hat KIOSK exam at Global Knowledge. Once you've done this, you'll receive an e-mail from Red Hat with further instructions. Via the Red Hat KIOSK you can decide if you'd rather take the exam at one of our locations or at home.

Make sure you're prepared

You do need some preparation before you can take an exam from home. Red Hat has prepared a document in which you can find out how to prepare yourself and your exam environment.
