Which VMware NSX-T courses can Global Knowledge offer you?

Are you ready for the next step in networking? Have you ever wondered if a migration to VMware NSX-T would be a good idea? This cloud native network and security platform gives you the opportunity to run software and workloads on all infrastructure types (virtual machines, containers, actual servers and private and public cloud).

VMware bought NSX in 2012 from a start-up, improved it and finally launched the technology under the name NSX. NSX adds an extra virtualization layer to your network. You can manage your data center from a distance with the help of NSX. There are two different types of NSX servers: NSX for vSphere (NSX-V) and NSX-Transformers (NSX-T). It's expected that the support for NSX-V ends in 2022 and VMware doesn't develop NSX-V anymore.

Get familiar with NSX-T in this video.

What are the differences between NSX-V and NSX-T?

VMware developed NSX-V first and NSX-T afterwards. One of the biggest disadvantages of NSX-V is that vSphere isn't a cloud-native applications that can run containers on physical servers. NSX-V is only connected to vSphere and is specific to hypervisor environments in vSphere.

According to this blogger, NSX-T is a scaleable architecture that's meant for the future. NSX-T has been developed for all kinds of virtualization and multi-hypervisor environments. NSX-T supports network virtualization stack for KVM, Docker, Kubernetes and OpenStack but also for native AWS workloads. You can implement NSX-T withou a vCenter Server.

Global Knowledge offers NSX-T courses. Because we're VMware Partner Authorized Training Center, we can always supply you with brand new course material and the best instructors. Curious to see what we have to offer you? We've listed our NSX-T course offerings below.
